Business Opportunities

I first heard Anthony Robbins say “Live with passion!” He always said it with such conviction. I thought it was a game or marketing ploy or something like that. It wasn’t until I decided to go into business for myself that I realized what he meant. I figured out that with enough passion for what I am doing and what I am all about, I can succeed at just about anything. At a minimum, I’ll enjoy myself tremendously.

When I talk about success, I mean in life. For the purpose of this article, I’ll focus on the business aspect of success. I found that I was working on my business because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do; work. Then I realized that I was no better off then when I was in the corporate world. Working day in and day out, waiting for the weekend. Then it occurred to me, I wasn’t doing what I was passionate about. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I am passionate about many things. I am most passionate about Personal Growth and helping people find their passion. (Pretty ironic, huh?)

I decided then and there that I was going to figure out how to make a living following my passion. It’s called “Praxis”, which means simply integrating your beliefs with your actions. I decided to live a Praxis Life.

I tell this story because it is important for everyone to know. The most successful people on the face of this planet follow their passion. I believe that this is the main contributor to success. Being self employed is not about just getting away from a job, it is about creating a life the way you see it for yourself. That is the beginning of passion. The trick is to make the picture of the life you want so big and brilliant that you can’t stop thinking about it. Whether it is more time with your family, more money in your bank account, trips around the world or that nice shiny new car that you catch a glimpse of driving down the road.

Once you have your life vision in place, it’s time to get going on what you enjoy doing. Some people say “yes, BUT, I don’t know how I can make a living doing…” I say “It doesn’t matter” focus on what you enjoy doing, tell people what you like to do, write a book about what it is that you enjoy. The opportunity WILL present itself. It may look a little different than what you expected, but that’s where you get to be open-minded and make it into something that fits. Heck, you might even sell the book that you wrote!

Whatever it is that you are doing or want to be doing, remember to live a Praxis Life and most of all, HAVE FUN!
